Another vessel, built at Oshima Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for d’Amico Dry d.a.c. ., powered by J-ENG is now in service.

In June this year the M/V “MEDI GINEVRA”, 87,000 DWT Bulk Carrier, owned by d’Amico Dry d.a.c.. (d’Amico), built at Oshima Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (Oshima), enter into service fitted with the Main Engine 6UEC60LSE-Eco-A2 produced by Japan Engine Corporation (J-ENG), the sister vessel M/V “MEDI SERAPO” was also successfully delivered in May.

UEC60LSE-Eco engine is highly reputed and adopted by many Owners with different vessels type such as Panamax Bulk Carrier and PCTC, due especially to the superior features as low fuel oil consumption, high reliability and dedicate service team.

The latest UEC-Eco engine technologies are mounted in this engine, such as the fourth-generation electrically controlled Eco system, which improved and simplifies the functionality and operability.

Furthermore, following the owner’s request, this engine is equipped with dedicated monitoring system such as the cylinder pressure control system, the bearing temperature monitoring system and the bearing wear monitoring system with water in oil sensor, to optimize the maintenance schedule.

d’Amico also selected J-ENG’s cutting-edge UEC50LSH-Eco-C2 engines for its 60,000 DWT Bulk Carriers, M/V “MEDI ROMA” and M/V “MEDI ZOUZ”, built at Oshima in 2017.
