To launch a new engine model development, UEC33LSH-C2
Japan Engine Corporation has announced to start development of a new engine model, UEC33LSH, as the successor of UEC33LSII which has been a long-selling prime mover for small size vessels.
The UEC33LSH-C2 type engine will meet the market demands of cement carriers, asphalt carriers, small-size bulkers, chemical tankers, LPG tankers, adopting an ultra-wide power range to enable wider engine speed selection based on the result of the thorough market research.
Also highly environmentally-friendly performance and a quite low fuel consumption, which is far superior to other electronically-controlled engines, are achieved using simple mechanical control system therefore both OPEX and CAPEX of this engine will satisfy the customers’ request. SCR system can be flexibly applicable when applying IMO NOx Tier III regulations.
The UEC33LSH is the third model of the UEC-LSH series composed of UEC50LSH having an order/production records of more than 40 sets and UEC42LSH with an order record of 6 sets, and will be on the market March 2022.
