Gave lecture on the Web at IoS-OP’s Taiwan seminar and introduced our digitalization and maintenance scheme on IoS-OP site
On April 16, Japan Engine Corporation (J-ENG) joined "IoS-OP(*) seminar in Taiwan" hosted by IoS-OP Consortium(**) for the first time overseas, as a consortium member. The Japanese member's lecturers did not attend the face-to-face meeting in Taipei city, but demonstrated the video presentations recorded in advance in Japan and exchanged web conferencing Q & A. J-ENG presented a 30-minute lecture "Support for Data utilization –ship's machinery and equipment-"
On the same day, a special IoS-OP site opened and the members' promotion videos were available limitedly until May 31. On the site, we introduce our digitalization and maintenance scheme titled as “Optimal Maintenance Management of UE Engine”.
91 interested Taiwan maritime persons participated in the seminar. J-ENG will enhance its activities not only domestic but also overseas to strengthen relationships and to play a part for collaboration as an IoS-OP Consortium member.

* IoS-OP: Internet of Ships Open Platform
** IoS-OP Consortium: A consortium operated by Ship Data Center Co., Ltd., a wholly subsidiary owned by "General Incorporated Foundation Class NK", for the purpose of navigation data sharing, providing data access rights. Total 64 shipyards and shipbuilding related manufactures and so on are joining the consortium as of the end of March 2021.
